VOTING INFORMATION

Vote on or before Tuesday, November 7.

There are two ways to vote on the upcoming bond referendum. Residents of KMS Schools can vote early via absentee ballot or in person on Election Day at their respective polling locations. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7.

Vote early via absentee ballot:

District residents may now vote early via absentee ballot through Monday, November 6. As this is a Special Election, ballots will NOT be mailed to voter residences.

  • Step 1: Residents must complete an absentee ballot application. This can be done by completing this form or by visiting the district office located at 302 North 15th Street, Kerkhoven, MN 56252, to complete the application in person.

  • Step 2: Once the application is completed, it must be sent to the district office to receive an absentee ballot. You can send your completed application in person when you complete your application, send it by mail to the district office, or send it by email to Annette Fernholz at afernholz@kms.k12.mn.us. Once your application is received, you will be sent an absentee ballot either in person or by mail.

  • Step 3: Voters must submit completed absentee ballots in person or by mail to the district office before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, to be counted.

  • The deadline to apply and receive an absentee ballot is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6.
